Deciding to take a relationship to a level that signifies a life-long commitment is a huge step as well as a memorable occasion. How a couple met and how the proposal was done are two stories fondly recanted through the decades of a marriage. When the proposal is creative, poignant, romantic, humorous, or otherwise memorable, the story will be passed along for generations. This contest is a way for ideas and stories to be collected, demonstrated, re-enacted, or even captured as they happen. These videos will then be shared online, perhaps even giving ideas to those who are creatively challenged.

Karat.com may use one or more of the videos in an international campaign, including on its blog, Facebook page, television, and anywhere else we think people will like to see your proposal. Submitted videos will be displayed on this website beginning February 14 and viewers can use the Facebook link to “Like’ their favorite videos until March 16. Judges will consider the number of recommendations or “Like” count in choosing the first place winner.
